Camping and Father's Day~
Knowing what a hard weekend this would be for Dalton...... we went camping...
Four adults... four kids, camping.
We had a blast. Deanna, Rob, Mason, Brendon, Campbell, me, Dalton and Jason~
Dalton caught lots of fish, we had great eats... and slept under the stars, it was wonderful and relaxing.... and only two things missing... Tyler and Blake. They stayed with their dad for the weekend at my house while we were gone. But they had lots of fun with their dad as well.
Here are some pictures.
Here is our little camp site on the river near our house. It is a little island that you can only get to by boat, very secluded and no one to bother us.... peaceful!
Dalton, Brendon and the fish that Dalton caught but wouldn't touch. How cute are they?
Campbell eating corn on the cob before we could even get it cooked... she cleaned it herself. She is the most adorable little thing.
Jason, cooking cinnamon rolls in a dutch oven on the camp fire! I didn't even know you could do that!!!! But he did....
This swan came right up to camp, how beautiful. We also saw two wild turkeys on the island and we found deer tracks.
It was a most enjoyable weekend and kept Dalton's mind off of his dad. He had a little breakdown on Saturday night, I think he
was a little exhausted and he was quickly over it and moved onto more fishing.
Extreme heat wore us out and I slept for 3 hours when we got home yesterday... but not until I had a nice warm shower. I love to camp, yet I sure missed my nice comfy mattress....
